Greenhouse Workday
Contribute to the Growth!
Plants don't just fall from the sky... they grow from the ground! duh! Greenhouse workday is an opportunity for all members to come and get their hands dirty and meet and talk with new members all while contributing to the growth of our wonderful club! Our Greenhouse Manager and Chairs host these workdays numerous times throughout the month, so stay tuned, grab a buddy and we'll see y'all in the greenhouse!

Where do I sign up?!
I'm glad you asked! Every greenhouse workday worker must watch the Worker Protection Standard Training Video prior to their first workday. Sign up for the next workday you are available in the Google Sheets below, and make sure to show up in closed-toed shoes!

Hermione Desormeaux
Howdy! My name is Hermione Desormeaux, and I am your 2025 Greenhouse Manager for the TAMU Horticulture Club. I am currently a B.S. Horticulture major with special interests in plant propagation and greenhouse/nursery production. I come from a small town on the Eastern side of San Antonio named Marion with a population of ~ 1,000 people. Growing up in the country is only half of the reason that I love being outdoors. The other half is due to the amount of traveling my family and I have done throughout the years. They made it a priority year after year to get out of our little town and explore. That has carried on throughout adulthood as I tend to be quite spontaneous and love to take every opportunity to simply explore. Now, most of what I enjoy exploring is exclusively surrounded by plants and nature. From hiking, camping, and fishing to things like snowboarding, horseback riding and visiting gardens. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, but once I was introduced to Horticulture, it was over for my other interests because there’s no doubt that this is where I belong. Upon transferring to A&M last fall semester, I saw the greenhouses and immediately felt drawn to them like a moth to a flame. I joined the TAMU Horticulture Club, and the rest is history. It is a pleasure to serve as your Greenhouse Manager, and I am beyond thankful for this opportunity.
