Plant ID Team
What is Plant ID?
Plant Identification is a competitive sport that provides the opportunity to study horticultural plants. Competitors are given a list of plants to memorize following the competition and are expected to be able to identify the Species and genus name of the plant presented Infront of them based off of key characteristics.

The TAMU Hort Club Plant ID Team has been proudly competing in Plant ID in the ASHS - Southern Region Competition as well as NCLC. Our team meets several times throughout the month to study and find new intuitive ways to memorize as many plants as possible. As we accumulate more and more passionate competitors to our team, we like to encourage the fascination and appreciation of the the vast world of plant species by cultivating an environment where members are motivated to learn new plants!
Our team is always looking for new competitors. Whether you are a rocket science engineer or Plant ID savant, if you are hungry for competition and even more so for learning something new, we would love to have you! Hop into our next Plant ID meeting and see what were all about!
